It’s MPS Awareness Day on Monday 15 May and there’s still time to boost awareness on this special day. Here’s our FAQ guide to all the ways you can get involved.
Can I donate something other than money?
Yes! You can donate your social media equity to us and we’ll reach more people with our message of awareness. Join our thunderclap along with hundreds of other supporters to publish a message to your Twitter or Facebook account at 3pm on Monday.
How: Follow this link and click on the red Support button to join in via Twitter or Facebook. You may need to log in to your social media account.
Can I show people I am supporting you online?
You can change your Facebook or Twitter profile or cover image to one of our special awareness day stickers and catch the eye of all your friends and followers.
How: Go to our stickers page and right click on the image you want to use. Save it then upload it to your Facebook or Twitter account.
Can I share my story?
Definitely. This is one of the most powerful ways to spread awareness and bring the MPS community together. It’s helpful to other people to understand the condition, to those going through the same thing and to medical professionals to identify symptoms.
Do I have to do everything via social media?
Not at all. It’s an easy way to reach people in one go but there is lots of value in raising awareness locally.
What can I do with my children?
Have fun dressing the whole family in blue – if you send us a picture we can put it in the next magazine to show them. Also play the Fly for MPS game and see who gets the highest score!
How: Email us your photos and anything you want to say about them to get them in the summer magazine.
Can’t I just give you some money?
Of course! Anything you donate will be used to support people living with MPS, fund research into treatments and raise awareness.
How: Donate online or by texting ‘WIBL17 £5’ to 70070.
