About the Event
Our online CSAC Webinar on 10th October, chaired by Trustee, Dr Fiona Stewart introduced the Clinical Scientific Advisory Committee (CSAC) which consists of a committee of members from medical, healthcare or research backgrounds. They consider applications for funding for the best interests of our community.
"I am Dr Fiona Stewart and have recently taken over from the highly esteemed Prof Bryan Winchester as Chair of the MPS Society’s Clinical and Scientific Advisory Committee (CSAC). We had realised that our membership may not have a clear idea of what the role of CSAC is, who the members are and how we fulfil our role. This webinar aims to give everyone a chance to meet the members of the committee. We hope to show you how we provide advice to the MPS society and how we ensure that the interests and needs of our members are represented and supported. We will also show how research is conducted and how CSAC supports research by assessing grant applications. We hope you will also enjoy seeing how many ground breaking projects CSAC has supported over the years."
