New online Mindful Self Compassion course for MPS parents or carers
Join a NEW online 9 week mindful self compassion course for MPS parents or carers. This course is also suitable for family members impacted by MPS, Fabry and related diseases aged 18 and over. Research shows mindful self compassion increases emotional resilience, wellbeing and happiness.

About the Event
A 9 week online mindful self compassion course for MPS parents or carers which would also be suitable for family members impacted by MPS, Fabry and related diseases who are over 18.
This course will run on Wednesday mornings, 10:00am-12:45pm starting on 28 September 2022 on the following dates:

16 November

(The first lesson on 28 September is longer, from 10:00am-13:00pm)
There are 6-12 paricipants in the group and the course will be delivered on Zoom. The course has nine sessions and will help you to learn how to
- handle difficult emotions with greater ease
- stop being so hard on yourself
- manage care giver fatigue
- transform difficult relationships, both old and new
- motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism
- become your own best teacher
The course is led by Claire Garthwaite and Helen Bambrough, who have both trained with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion to teach this world-renowned course, designed by Chris Germer and Kristin Neff.
You will need a computer or a tablet with good internet connection to take part.
Suitable for those with or without any previous experience of mindfulness or self compassion.
After registering for the course, you will need to fill in a short health questionnaire and have a telephone chat with one of the course leaders.
