Housing and equipment
The support and advocacy team often support families with their social housing needs and home adaptations. We also support those who own their own home to access the Disabled Facilities Grant - a statutory pot of money allocated to Local Authorities to provide home adaptations.
Whilst we are not Occupational Therapists we have knowledge and experience in what works for our families and we have an understanding of the legislation and processes surrounding the grant, we can also recruit the help of other relevant professionals to support the process, including the specialist centres.
