Chase the signs

The theme for this year will be chasing the signs of MPS. There are a plethora of symptoms that someone with MPS can have and we are going to highlight what some of these are. Please get involved and help #ChaseTheSigns

How to get involved

We have a week packed full of fun and raising awareness, from the word go. Start the week off by simply adding a social media graphic to your profile and sharing it with your friends. Please see our planner below for what we're doing during the week.

Don’t forget International MPS Awareness Day on 15 May!

Rattle our virtual bucket

As we can't meet in person this year, we're holding a virtual bucket collection to raise vital funds during MPS Awareness Week. Just £2 from everyone who reads this will transform the lives of families living with MPS and related lysosomal diseases.

Read 'your stories'

Find out what life is like living with an MPS or lysosomal disease direct from our MPS community. We have a collection of inspirational stories from those who understand how the disease affects them.

Share your own experience

If you are living with an MPS disease or are a close relative of someone who has one of these rare diseases, please share your story with the press to help highlight the symptoms you have to deal with and how it affects your life.

The work we do at the MPS Society would not be possible, without the support of our wonderful community. You can be an MPS Hero by fundraising for us! So, get creative and have fun with it. It’s up to you what you decide to do. You can don an apron and start baking some delicious cupcakes! Or put those trainers on ready to challenge yourself for a running or walking challenge. Or why not get your swimsuit out and swim some lengths of a swimming pool?

Whatever you decide to do, know you will be making a huge contribution to someone else’s life, in such a positive way!
