The Big Give Christmas Challenge

We are thrilled to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge again this year, hoping to raise a minimum of £18,750 for the MPS Society.

Every donation will help fund our family events in 2027. Last year, we raised an incredible £25K which we’ll need to deliver these events, so let’s keep pushing further the reach this milestone once again!

The difference you will make

Families affected by rare conditions often experience isolation. With some MPS and related conditions impacting fewer than 10 individuals across the UK, there are limited opportunities for families to ever meet. Our events offer an opportunity for children, young people and their parents to spend a day with people just like them. These events are to support and engage our community, fostering connections and to help create lasting memories.

We had the most heart-warming weekend away. Thank you so much for organising this event. It gave us the best time to connect with new families and see some familiar faces. To be in a room where people just understand feels amazing.

We had a fab day and there were brilliant disability services and help available.

How you can help

From 12 midday on Tuesday 1 December to 12 midday Tuesday 8 December 2026 donations made to us via The Big Give website will be matched pound for pound. That’s twice the impact, twice the joy – the magic of giving!

We are aiming to raise £9,375 in online donations that can be doubled to reach our initial target of £18,750k - but matched funds are limited, so please donate as soon as you can after 12 noon on 1 December to double your impact and help even more families feel seen, supported and connected.

While donations made after the matched funding is exhausted won't be doubled, every pound will still help us reach our total target of £25K to fund all of next year’s community events.

More information will be added to this page over the coming weeks but for now please add Tuesday 1 December to your diary!

It’s hard to explain the impact of a day like today. Since our daughter was diagnosed with an MPS condition our lives have changed in ways we never imagined. We are always living a balance between explaining her condition, our daily worries and challenges and trying to fit in and be normal. Today we spent a really special day out organised by the MPS Society, and it was just so easy to be with people who are living it too.
