Treats For All

Share:

To help in a little way to relieve the strain many families and individuals with MPS, Fabry and related diseases are experiencing during this challenging time we were pleased to launch the MPS Society “Treats For All” initiative. Through the initiative, we provided vouchers to families and individuals as a one-off gift to help offer some relief during a stressful time.

Here's some of the ways our members chose to spend their vouchers and how they found their experiences.

Thank you so much MPS for selecting me for a ‘shielding treat’. I was able to use the B&Q voucher to order a wheelbarrow to give to my son, who has also been shielding at his home. This may not seem like a treat as such but having not seen him for 5 months we are now able to spend some time together in his garden and we are enjoying working to make it a special place. One of the first jobs is for my husband and I to move 1.5 tons of topsoil into a raised bed, hence the need for the wheelbarrow. I’m sure we will get many years of pleasure and use out of our new mode of transport!

I’m obsessed with bringing the brightest colours into my life especially at this time...

Thank you so much for my treat, it has really lifted my spirits and given me an opportunity to relax. I ventured out after shielding to Hobbycraft and treated myself to acrylic paints, brushes, liners and board. This is a new hobby for me and I’m obsessed with bringing the brightest colours into my life especially at this time. I am so grateful for this treat of art therapy.

We put the money towards a bike for Stanley

We put the money towards a bike for Stanley from Decathlon. We initially took the pedals off it to use as a big balance bike but then put them back on as you can see from the video he is so close. Which is amazing!!! Thank you.
